NIKOLAS NIKOLAIDIS, PH.D.IBC-Chair Bio: Dr. Nikolaidis is a molecular biologist with expertise in bioinformatics, protein-lipid interactions, and the cellular stress response. 他们是CSUF的全职教授，在那里教授生物信息学和遗传学等课程. Dr. Bogdan Suceavă
Between Two Worlds: Geometry and Storytelling 几十年来，空间变形的概念吸引了许多聪明人. The deformation of curves and surfaces, namely their curvature, has many applications in our contemporary science. Donald Shields Excellence in Scholarship and Creativity Award, Dr. Bogdan Suceavă, studied mathematics at the University of Bucharest (B.Sc. 1994, M.Sc. 1995) and at Michigan State University (Ph.D., 2002). Since 2002, he has worked at CSUF, where he wrote the majority of his over 80 research papers in mathematics. His expertise lies mainly in differential geometry, but his works explore analysis, algebra, and the history of mathematics, including several chapters of geometry, from axiomatics to metric geometry. Besides his scholarly work, Dr. Suceavă authored 19 literary volumes in Romanian, essays, novels, short stories, and poetry; some of his literary works are translated into English, French, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Korean, Bulgarian, Italian, German, Swedish, Slovenian, Croatian, and Dutch. 他是2020年MAA Polya解释性写作奖的获得者之一(以a.
